Ozark Trail Screen Porch Tent

Turn a 10 ft. x 10 ft. straight-leg canopy into an 8-person shelter with a screen porch. The L-shaped layout gives you two rooms with their own doors, plus a shared screen area built for weekend trips and backyard gatherings.
How It's Made

Built for Space and Weather

Poly Taffeta 185T fabric and taped fly seams help shed weather, while the 16.7 ft. by 16.7 ft. footprint covers 146.5 sq. ft. of floor and a 100 sq. ft. screen house with 75 inches of headroom.

Room to Sleep, Eat, and Gather

Two Rooms Without Two Tents

The L-shaped plan splits sleeping from hanging out, so one room holds cots while the other stays open for meals and cards. Separate doors mean nobody climbs over anyone at 2 a.m.

The 100 sq. ft. screen house sits over your 10 ft. canopy, giving you a breezy, shaded spot to sit while mosquitoes stay out. It works as a communal lounge during the day.

Poly Taffeta 185T fabric with taped fly seams handles rain and wind on short trips. One reviewer took it through a storm and reported only light moisture at the canopy connection.

Floor Space for Eight Campers

At 16.7 ft. by 16.7 ft., the floor gives 146.5 sq. ft. — enough for eight sleepers or a roomy layout when fewer people come along.

Interior storage pockets, media pocket and power port in the tent
Pockets Where Your Gear Lands

An E-port lets you run power inside, a media pocket keeps your phone handy, and extra storage pockets keep small gear off the floor and easy to find.

One Setup Two People Can Handle

Two people and about 20 minutes gets the shelter standing, which leaves more of the afternoon for camp setup and less time arguing with poles.

Who It Suits

Where This Shelter Fits Best

The 8-person layout suits families and groups who want shared space without buying a second tent. It fits weekend trips, church outings, reunions, and backyard gatherings where a canopy is already on hand.

Family Weekends With Room to Spare

Parents get a private side room for cots while kids and gear spread across the open area. With 146.5 sq. ft. of floor and 75 inches of center height, nobody feels crowded at bedtime.

Group Trips and Shared Campsites

Two separate doors and a connecting passageway let one group sleep while another keeps the screen porch lively. Campers in reviews said neighbors kept dropping in to visit the layout.

Backyard Gatherings on a Canopy You Own

If you already use a 10 ft. square canopy for shade, this accessory turns it into a screened room for reunions, sleepovers, or a covered spot to keep food and supplies off the grass.

Getting It Ready

Set Up in About 20 Minutes

This shelter works best when you treat the canopy as part of the setup rather than an afterthought. A steady order — canopy, layout, attachments, tension — keeps the 20-minute window realistic on arrival day.

Stage the Canopy First

Set up your 10 ft. x 10 ft. straight-leg canopy first; it becomes the frame the shelter hangs from.

Lay Out the Shelter

Spread the tent body on the ground beside the canopy so the screen porch faces where you want to relax.

Align Both Doorways

Clip the shelter to each canopy leg before tensioning, keeping doors aligned and the passageway open.

Secure and Tension

Stake out the corners and pull the fly taut, since taped seams only shed water when the fabric is held tight.

Run Power Inside

Feed an extension cord through the E-port so fans or chargers stay off the floor and out of the walkway.

Pack Down in Order

Take the shelter down before the canopy, folding it into its carry bag while the frame still gives you room.

What 298 Ratings Say in Practice

Across 298 ratings and an average of 3.9 out of 5 stars, buyers keep pointing at the same things: room inside, a straightforward setup with a canopy on hand, and pockets that keep gear off the floor.
Awesome tent. You have to purchase the canopy separate and you cannot put this tent up without a canopy. That being said, we had a canopy already and loved this tent. We are not campers, but this tent was great for what we needed it for. Very spacious and easy to set up and take down. Lots of pockets.

Spacious and simple for first-time campers
Wonderful set up for fellowship. Fits together and quality is pretty good for the price. The open design with private side rooms was great for group camping. The look is so welcoming that just about everyone in camp stopped in to visit with us. Highly recommend.

Open lounge with private side rooms
Spacious tent. Very spacious and easy to connect to canopy. Held up great through the storm. Had little moisture through the connection area, but overall it was a great experience. Perfect for our camping trip with friends and family.

Held up through a storm with light moisture
I already owned a 10 ft. straight-leg canopy, so the shelter went up in about 20 minutes with my brother helping. The screen porch became our daytime hangout while the side room held the cots. Pockets everywhere kept phones and flashlights off the floor, which made packing out just as quick.

Before You Decide

Practical Questions Before You Buy

No. The canopy is essential and sold separately, so you’ll need a 10 ft. x 10 ft. straight-leg canopy of your own before this shelter will stand. Shoppers who already own one say setup went smoothly once it was in place.
It is rated for 8 people across 146.5 sq. ft. of floor space, with a 75 inch center height. That works for eight sleepers, though families often prefer fewer bodies and more room for gear and cots.
Plan on about 20 minutes with two people. One person can handle most of the work, but a second set of hands makes aligning the shelter with the canopy frame faster and less frustrating.
Poly Taffeta 185T fabric with taped fly seams is built for fair-to-wet weather on short trips. One reviewer reported it held through a storm with only a little moisture at the canopy connection, so check that join after heavy rain.
The footprint measures 16.7 ft. by 16.7 ft., giving 146.5 sq. ft. of floor area, plus a 100 sq. ft. screen house. Center height reaches 75 inches, so most adults can stand and change comfortably.
Yes. The open screen area with two private side rooms suits church outings, family reunions, and shared campsites where people come and go. One reviewer said camp neighbors kept stopping by to visit the welcoming layout.
